Locking Up Locals’

Sondra’s Song is ‘Locking Up Locals’ to raise awareness about youth transitioning out of foster care.

We’re in search of inmates that are armed with kindness and big hearts! As an inmate/inmates, you are committed for raising bail, in the amount of $750. You might be wondering how you’ll raise this money? It’s easy! Ask friends, family members, or co-workers to donate a few dollars here and there & they can help you post bail with a possibility of matching funds from your employer!

You’ll have 30 days to raise funds and awareness during the month of July 2019.
You are also welcomed to enlist the help of other inmates. Possibly, a present day, Bonnie and Clyde, or create your own gang, The E street gang!

While we really won’t hold you hostage, we will coordinate with you to create your mugshots possible, before June 19, 2019 to show you’re an advocate for our organization. Our first annual Locking Up Locals was a great success! We look forward to locking you up!!

For more information or to participate as an inmate, call 806-790-1962

Pinwheels sparkle and shine, flashing their colors as they turn in the breezes in several open spaces throughout Lubbock every April.

It’s a whimsical sight for sure, but organizers with Lubbock child advocacy groups and hospitals hope they’ll bring levity and a sense of hope while carrying a heavy message – the nation is plagued by child abuse, and Lubbock and the South Plains are no exception.

As a Lubbock-based child-advocacy group, Sondra’s Song host an annual Pinwheels for Prevention Display Pinwheels every year on Broadway and Ave Q in downtown Lubbock. It’s one of the numerous events hosted by different organizations to help mark National Child Abuse Prevention Month in Lubbock.

Sondra’s Song comes alongside some of these organizations to host a graduation party/HOPE CHEST, for youth aging out of foster care. A Christmas Dream party is also given to these young adults in Lubbock County during the holidays.
